Dataset Basics
Wayne County's GIS staff provided University Information Technology Services at Indiana University digital copies of county aerial photos from 1936, 1940, 1954, 1961, 1969, 1979, 1980, 1986, 1992, and 1994. The images are available for use without restrictions. All years except 1936 and 1954 are 36 inch x 36 inch scanned photo prints. Richmond 1954 images are 17 x 32 inch scanned photo prints. Wayne County staff scanned the prints using a wide format scanner at 200 dpi grayscale. 1936 photos are 8 x 10 inch photo prints scanned at 600 dpi.

Image Indexes
Indiana University staff created image indexes or footprints for each year in shapefile format. The indexes are included in each year's metadata zip archive available for download via the ISDP multi-file download tool.
