1997 Marion County Orthophotography

Dataset Basics

The 1997 Marion County multi-spectral orthophotography is a 4-band dataset provided by the Indianapolis Mapping and Geographic Infrastructure System. The images were captured using an ADAR System 5500 remote sensing platform, resulting in a four band RGB and near infrared image.

The Center for Earth and Environmental Science at IUPUI rectified and processed the imagery for the Indianapolis Mapping and Geographic Infrastructure System. A shapefile index showing the image boundaries is available by downloading the archived metadata file. The data delivered included some errors and omissions that could not be recovered or repaired. This information was not replaced and is missing in the county mosaic. An item in the shapefile attribute table called COMPLETE indicates which images have omissions.
