2016-2020 Statewide Elevation Data

Dataset Basics:

The State of Indiana conducted a 3-year program to acquire LiDAR/elevation data for the entire state of Indiana in 2016-2018. Due to flooding, five counties were imaged in Spring 2019 and three counties in Spring 2020. This initiative is part of the USGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP), and provides statewide Quality Level 2 (QL2) LiDAR data that is twice as accurate as Indiana's previous 2011-2013 LiDAR. The QL2 deliverables include a LiDAR point cloud with 2 last pulses per meter spacing and a 2.5 foot Bare-Earth Hydro-Flattened Digital Elevation Model (DEM) derived from the LiDAR point cloud. *2016 Marion County has DSM GeoTIFF and DEM GeoTIFF instead of Intensity GeoTIFF or DEM IMAGINE files. 2016 Wayne County does not have Intensity GeoTIFFs, only DEM IMAGINE and LAS files. The hydro breakline data for all counties is included in the combined metadata for the entire project, which can be downloaded on the DEM Mosaic page here.
